Remedial Massasge
Remedial Massage addresses specific injuries and pain, especially chronic tension in the body. By skilfully manipulating the tissues around an injury or site of pain, the joints can be realigned, the tissues can be stretched and scar tissue and adhesions can be released. This is especially important as adhesions and scar tissue can inhibit the flow of blood, and limited blood flow very commonly causes pain due to the build up of metabolic toxins and acids. It is usual to find areas of restricted blood flow in old injuries, even if a good regime of stretching, strengthening and rehabilitation has already occurred. An experienced massage therapist would be able to quickly pin point the areas which need treated and you will get immediate feedback as to whether remedial massage is likely to be of benefit. Within 3 treatments it will be possible to tell if the treatment is working and results will quickly follow.
Experience
At Enabling Health you will be treated by an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist with 13 years of experience of professional practise. Experience leads to sensitivity and precision during treatment which is important for long term benefits. Remedial Massage should be the first step in a rehabilitation programme, followed by stretching and strengthening exercises. Using a combination of Living Foods and Pilates, results are seen even more quickly.
